3lb Sterile Grain Bag – Premium Milo / Sorghum Grain Spawn

Now includes a FREE self-healing injection port.

Our Best-Selling Grain Spawn
The 3lb Milo/Sorghum Sterile Grain Bag is trusted by growers who want consistent colonization, clean preparation, and reliable performance. Each bag contains roughly 3 quarts of properly hydrated grain, prepared in small batches and fully sterilized so it’s ready for inoculation right out of the bag — no soaking, simmering, or pressure cooking required. Proper hydration and grain structure provide an ideal nutrient balance for strong, even mycelial growth.

Why Growers Choose This Bag

  • Premium Organic Milo / Sorghum – Small grains create thousands of inoculation points for faster, more even colonization
  • Dialed-In Hydration – Balanced internal moisture to support aggressive, healthy growth
  • Sterilized 2.5 Hours at 15–17 PSI – Processed in SH Scientific autoclaves for dependable sterility
  • Rested Before Release – Bags stabilize prior to shipment for consistent performance
  • Integrated Self-Healing Injection Port – Clean, simple inoculation without exposing grain
  • Unicorn 10T Filter Patch – Designed for proper gas exchange during colonization
  • Vacuum-Sealed Secondary Bag – Added protection during storage and shipping

Why Milo / Sorghum?

Milo (sorghum) has become a favorite among experienced growers for one key reason — performance. Its small grain size creates a high number of inoculation points, allowing mycelium to spread evenly and efficiently throughout the bag.

Compared to larger grains, milo distributes moisture more uniformly and breaks apart easily during shake-and-mix, helping reduce clumping and encouraging aggressive colonization. It offers a strong balance of structure, nutrition, and surface area — making it ideal for both beginners and advanced growers.

Built for Consistency — Not Mass Production

Each batch is carefully hydrated, sterilized, and allowed to stabilize before shipment. We do not rush bags out immediately after sealing.

Proper rest time allows internal moisture levels to equalize and ensures stability during storage and transit. The result is uniform grain structure, reliable performance, and fewer surprises after inoculation.

Every bag is produced using professional-grade autoclaves and consistent cycle parameters — not guesswork.
Ready When You Are.
No soaking. No simmering. No pressure cooking. Just inspect, inoculate, and let the mycelium do the work.

Flexible Use Options

Once fully colonized, this grain can be mixed with bulk substrate in a monotub or other container. Many growers combine with CVG or enriched substrates for optimal yields and performance.
