1. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY OPTIONS

Domestic Shipping:

Daily order cutoff time is 4 PM Central Standard Time.

Please note: Delivery times listed below are carrier transit estimates based on the package shipping the same day. Transit time begins once your order leaves our facility. Weekends and public holidays are not counted as business days.

2. PROCESSING TIME

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days and guaranteed to ship within 5 business day(s), excluding weekends and public holidays (unless otherwise stated). The daily order cutoff time is 4 PM Central Standard Time. If you require expedited processing, please contact us before placing your order.

Once the item has been handed to the delivery carrier, a tracking number will be sent to the customer. Expedited processing/shipping is available upon request and is subject to an expedited processing fee if it applies.

Important: Shipping times shown at checkout are estimates provided by the carrier and do not include our internal processing time. Actual transit time begins once the package leaves our facility. Weekends and public holidays are not counted toward carrier timeframes, and delays caused by the carrier are outside of our control once the order has been handed off.


3. CANCELLATIONS

After an order is submitted, processing begins and the order can be canceled by us before it is shipped. After it has left our facility there may be fees to stop movement or return the package. Any carrier fees incurred will be paid by the customer unless an agreement is made. If you have questions about canceling an order, please contact us.


4. RETURNS

Returns will be accepted within 14 day(s) from the original purchase date. Items must be returned unused and in original condition. Some items, such as items on sale, may be ineligible for returns. For more information, please review our Refund Policy. Returns will not be accepted for reasons outside our control or due to a shipper/shipping issue unless approved first.


5. DELAYED ORDERS

In the case of delayed processing, customers will have the option to cancel their order for a full refund. Shipping provider delays do not fall under the seller's liability. For delayed orders, please first contact the shipping carrier for the item’s status.


6. DAMAGED ORDERS

Mycology Simplified is not liable for lost, delayed, or damaged products once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier.

Shipments may be exposed to environmental and handling conditions during transit that are outside of our control, including but not limited to extreme temperatures (freezing or overheating), pressure changes, rough handling, or extended transit times. Damage resulting from these conditions is considered carrier-related and is not the responsibility of Mycology Simplified, regardless of the contents of the shipment.

Seasonal or minor cosmetic changes may occur as packages move through varying climates and facilities and are considered normal. However, significant damage caused during shipping is not indicative of a production, packaging, or quality control issue on our end.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us promptly so we can assist with documentation and provide guidance for filing a claim with the shipping carrier. Ultimately, the customer is responsible for filing and pursuing any shipping claims.

Agar – Freezing or Temperature Exposure

Agar is a temperature-sensitive product. Freezing or overheating due to carrier handling or transit conditions is completely outside of our control.

Because of this, WE WILL NOT REPLACE AGAR DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING DUE TO FREEZING OR TEMPERATURE EXPOSURE, and shipping carriers do not cover temperature-related damage to perishable items such as agar.

To help reduce the risk, we offer an optional cold-weather shipping upgrade for under $7, which includes:

  • A 96-hour heat pack
  • A larger box to allow proper airflow
  • Insulation to help maintain a more stable internal temperature during transit

 

All-In-One Bag Shipping Policy

All-In-One Bags contain sterilized grain and substrate and are time-sensitive biological products.

Processing Time

If a product is listed as in stock, it has already completed our internal rest and quality control period.

In-stock All-In-One Bags typically ship within 1–3 business days, with a maximum processing time of 5 business days during high-volume periods.

Temperature Considerations

Customers are responsible for monitoring local weather conditions prior to ordering.

We are not responsible for damage resulting from:

  • Extreme heat exposure

  • Freezing temperatures

  • Packages left outdoors after delivery

  • Delayed retrieval from mailbox or porch

  • Carrier delays once in transit

If temperatures in your area are extreme, we recommend upgrading shipping speed.

Delivery & Inspection

Customers must inspect their package immediately upon delivery.

Any shipping damage must be documented with clear photos and reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Carrier Responsibility & Insurance

All shipments include up to $100 of carrier insurance under the customer’s name at the time of shipment.

If damage, loss, or delivery issues occur, the customer is responsible for filing a claim directly with the carrier using the tracking number provided.

We will supply supporting documentation if requested by the carrier.

Do not discard damaged packaging, as carriers may require inspection.


7. SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

- Orders can be shipped to P.O. boxes, but it does cost more to ship to a P.O. box.

The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has restrictions on what items can be shipped through air transportation in the US. As such, any authorized items for air shipment may require a different shipping method.


8. Fictitious Names and Inaccurate Shipping Addresses

Please note: Using fictitious names or addresses that do not match the shipping destination is prohibited under federal law, specifically 18 U.S. Code § 1342.

If a package is returned to Mycology Simplified due to the use of a fictitious name or an inaccurate shipping address, Mycology Simplified will refund the cost of the product after deducting the original shipping cost and the return shipping fees incurred. If your package is returned with a notice such as "Addressee was not known at the delivery address noted on the package," it is the customer's responsibility to contact the carrier for assistance and provide proper identification.
