Agar plates are made to order

Agar FAQ

Shipping

We advise shipping all agar and slans USPS Priority 2day due to the heat and cold that we experience throught the year.

Storage

Best practice:

Try to store plates in an upright position in a cool area of your lab or home with consistent temperature. We do not recommend storing plates in the refridgerator prior to inoculation due to the condensation that can form from large temperature and atmospheric changes.

Extended culture storage

While slants are the preffered method to extending your culture life for long tearm storage it is possible to extend plate life for up to 2 months in the refrigerator. Vacuum seal your plates leaving just a small amount of air or place in a sealed baggie with a desiccant pack to help with excess moisture.
