What’s Included

  • 3 lb Sterile Milo Grain Bag – Hydrated, pressure-sterilized, sealed with self-healing injection port and filter patch
  • 3 lb CVG Substrate Block – Pasteurized coir/vermiculite/gypsum blend, hydrated to field capacity

Why Growers Choose This Kit

  • Perfect for restocking existing monotubs
  • Flexible fruiting options: monotub or in-bag
  • Small-batch prepared for consistency
  • Clean, vacuum-sealed packaging

Quick Start Guide

Step Instructions
1. Inoculate Clean injection port with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Inject 4–10 mL of liquid culture or spore solution. Gently shake to distribute.
2. Colonize Store at 70–75°F in a clean, dark area. Once 30–70% colonized, mix (optional) to accelerate growth. Full colonization typically takes 10–18 days.
3. Combine Mix colonized grain with the 3 lb CVG substrate. Combine inside a monotub or directly in the bag. Gently level the surface.
4. Incubate Maintain 70–75°F in indirect light. Allow 5–10 days for full substrate colonization.
5. Initiate Fruiting Introduce light and fresh air. Crack the tub lid or cut small slits in the bag and cover with micropore tape if needed.
6. Mist & Monitor Mist tub walls or bag interior as needed. Pins typically appear in 5–7 days once fruiting conditions are introduced.

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store sealed between 45–70°F until ready
  • Best used within 15–30 days of receipt
  • Do not freeze; refrigerate fully colonized grain only if necessary
  • Timeframes vary depending on genetics and environment
